Good morning. As we close out one of the most challenging weeks in our District’s history and prepare for a new presidential administration, we want to reaffirm the District’s unwavering commitment to the well-being and education of all students, particularly regarding their rights to access and receive education regardless of their immigration status.
We believe it is crucial to provide our students and families with clear and accessible information about their legal rights. The district will distribute Red Cards with vital information about their rights on Tuesday or Wednesday this week.
We know this may be a difficult time for many, and we are committed to supporting the safety of our entire Los Angeles Unified community on or off campus.

Al cerrar una de las semanas más difíciles en la historia de nuestro Distrito y prepararnos para una nueva administración presidencial, queremos reafirmar el compromiso inquebrantable del Distrito con el bienestar y la educación de todos los estudiantes, en particular con respecto a sus derechos de acceso y recepción de educación independientemente de su estatus migratorio.
Creemos que es fundamental brindarles a nuestros estudiantes y familias información clara y accesible sobre sus derechos legales. El distrito distribuirá Tarjetas Rojas con información vital sobre sus derechos el martes o miércoles de esta semana.
Sabemos que este puede ser un momento difícil para muchos y estamos comprometidos a apoyar la seguridad de toda nuestra comunidad del Distrito Unificado de Los Ángeles dentro y fuera del campus.
